AFTER SCHOOL WATERCOLOUR LESSONS for BEGINNERS & BEYOND

MONDAY AFTERNOONS during the school term
Time:  3:30pm-5:00pm
Location:  Wanaka Arts Centre (free parking available)
Bookings now open - Term 2, starting Monday 29 April 2024, last class Monday 10 June 2024 - 6 weeks tuition.  Due to Kings Birthday Weekend (Monday 3 June) and Jo being away for the end of Term 2, this term is offered at a reduced rate.

Classes do not run on Public Holidays and minimum numbers are needed for the class to go ahead

Join Jo Jago (Jo Jago Art) at the Wanaka Arts Centre for a relaxed, fun after-school watercolour painting class this term.

Classes are small to ensure personal attention for everyone.  Recommended for ages 8 and up.  Jo likes to get to know the young people in her classes and focuses on teaching watercolour skills in a subtle and fun way by doing paintings that specifically embrace the children's interests.   For this reason, Jo loves it if her students bring along some examples of watercolour paintings or styles they would like to learn or just paintings that they like (www.pinterest.com & www.instagram.com are awesome resources for this)

"Yes I can paint beautiful landscapes, and it is probably criminal not to living in Wanaka.  But what I enjoy the most is painting things that are a little quirky and more illustration based.  A space rocket, a steampunk scene with a rabbit underground having a birthday party or a dog with sunglasses on and other fun things.  I love the joy on people's faces when they see my art in this style, young & old, as they are taken into a fun, playful world that takes them to a state of childhood happiness"

Your full-term payment is accepted in cash, you can be invoiced or you can pay online if you prefer, but full payment needs to be received before lessons commence.  You can pay by EFTPOS or credit card, however there is a surcharge added for this service, and this charge is incorporated into the online ticket price of the class.

Funding may be available for those who are having difficulties affording the fees.  Please enquire confidentially with Jo. 

OPTIONS:

* $200 cash or bank transfer per term / $220 if purchased online (including online transaction fees)

* $40 cash or bank transfer / $50 if purchased online (including online transaction fees) for a one-off "try it out" class including all materials, artist-quality paint & paper and all equipment needed.

* $50 cash or bank transfer / $55 online (including online transaction fees) deposit to secure your spot and pay closer to the time.

Jo provides you with top-quality, artist-grade paint, paper, consumables, supplies & equipment to use during your lesson.  This costs her around $20 per person per lesson.  ONLY IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THEM feel free to bring along your own watercolour kit but please don't rush out and buy things, come to your first lesson and chat to Jo about equipment and materials first.
