Jo Jago is a professional New Zealand watercolour artist and experienced tutor who brings welcoming, beginner-friendly art sessions directly to your village. The focus is on enjoyment, confidence and the pleasure of making something beautiful, without pressure or prior art experience.

Workshops can be tailored to suit your village, group size, residents and programme. Popular options include:

Designed for beginners
No previous painting experience is required. Jo's teaching style is relaxed, encouraging and practical, with clear demonstrations and individual help throughout the session.
Workshops can be adapted for mixed experience levels and for residents who may prefer a slower pace or extra assistance.
Village workshop pricing
- Resident-paid workshops: $60 per participant.
- Village-funded workshops: $80 per participant.
Minimum booking numbers, travel and any special material requirements can be confirmed when your workshop is arranged. For Christmas card workshops and other specific projects, Jo can provide a tailored quote based on the format and location.
Where Jo teaches
Jo is based in Otago and regularly works across Dunedin, Central Otago, Queenstown Lakes and surrounding regions. Bookings elsewhere in New Zealand are welcome, and selected Australian workshops may also be available when Jo is travelling.
