Jo Jago is a professional New Zealand watercolour artist and experienced tutor who brings relaxed, beginner-friendly workshops directly to villages. The emphasis is on enjoyment, confidence, connection and the pleasure of creating something by hand.
Complete beginners are especially welcome, and residents with previous painting experience can join in too. Jo demonstrates each stage clearly and gives individual guidance throughout the session.
Designed for real village life
Workshops are planned to be friendly, inclusive and easy to take part in. Groups are kept small enough for personal attention, and activities can be adapted to suit the residents attending.
Jo brings the art materials needed for the workshop, making it simple for villages to host a creative session without residents needing to buy equipment beforehand.

What residents create
Projects are chosen so residents can enjoy the process and finish with artwork they are pleased to take home. Depending on the workshop, this may include cards, florals, seasonal paintings or other small watercolour pieces.

Bookings are welcome throughout New Zealand, and Jo also teaches selected workshops in Australia when travelling.
